The Society for Kona’s Education and Art holds a summer art camp for students ages 6-11 June 6-17 in Honaunau.
The two-week camp runs 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday at the SKEA campus. This year’s theme is “Anything Goes,” which will be explored through painting, drawing, pottery, music, movement and multimedia art.
Tuition is $290, in addition to a SKEA family membership, which costs $35. Register by May 31 for a $10 discount. Scholarships are available.
Summer Art Camp is funded in part by the Hawaii State Foundation on Culture and the Arts, through appropriations from the state Legislature, and by the National Endowment for the Arts. It is also sponsored by the County of Hawaii and the 2016 Kona Brewer’s Festival. Scholarships supported by Patel’s Spirit Station and individual donors.
